Carmen Nab is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UCL and began working with CPOM in 2020. Carmen’s research focuses on improving our ability to monitor the biological implications of climate change in the polar regions. Carmen completed her PhD at CPOM UCL in 2024, in collaboration with the Met Office. Her PhDlooked to improve both sea-ice thickness estimates in the Arctic and coupled ocean/atmosphere/sea-ice forecasts for short-range and seasonal forecasting applications. Prior to starting her PhD she completed an MSc in Environmental Modelling at UCL and a BSc in Environmental Science at the University of Dundee.
