Danny Feltham is a Professor of Climate Process Physics at the University of Reading. Danny has been with CPOM since its inception in 2000 as one of the researchers who worked on the proposal for the creation. His area of expertise includes physical processes in the cryosphere, particularly those controlling the evolution of the sea ice cover. Danny currently leads a research group in polar oceanography. The work done by his research group focuses on many different areas including sea ice thermodynamics and sea ice rheology.
Danny completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge in Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics of Sea Ice. After completing his PhD he held positions at UCL as an Academic Fellow, Lecturer, and Reader before joining the University of Reading as Professor in Climate Physics.
