Diego Moral Pombo is a Senior Research Associate in Ice Sheet Geodesy based at the University of Lancaster. Diego began working with CPOM in 2024. He is currently working on the Greenland Subglacial Lake Observatory (GLOBE) project, his research within this project focuses on detecting and tracking lakes beneath the Greenland Ice Sheet with the help of high-volume, high-resolution Digital Elevation Models (DEMs).

Diego completed his MA in Astrophysics at the Universidad de La Laguna, Tenerife, and got his PhD in Space Physics in Lancaster University. His PhD analysed both remote images and in situ data of the Jovian auroras.
