Ed Gasson is a glaciologist and palaeoclimatologist interested in what past climates can tell us about future climate change and sea level rise. He is a modeler and works with computer codes representing the ice sheets and climate system. His main focus is on the Antarctic Ice Sheet as its by far the biggest unknown in future sea level projections.
Ed moved to Cornwall and the University of Exeter in 2021 from the University of Bristol, where he also completed my PhD. After a couple of postdoctoral positions, including one in Massachusetts, he was awarded a Royal Society University Research Fellowship.
