Jennifer Maddalena is Post Doctoral Researcher at Lancaster University. She began working with CPOM in 2021. Her research uses satellite remote sensing techniques and monitoring changes to the ice sheets. Another area of interest for Jennifer is in how large volumes of satellite data, with novel data processing techniques, can increase our capacity to monitor changes to the ice sheet surface.
She completed her PhD in 2021 at the University of Bristol with her thesis on Elevation and volumetric changes to the Greenland ice sheet derived from Sentinel-3 satellite radar altimetry. She was previously a scientific adviser to the Environmental Audit Committee within the Houses of Parliament.
