Joe Phillips joined CPOM in 2021 as a PhD student at Lancaster University, where he previously completed a BSc in Physics and an MSc in Data Science. His research currently focuses on applying deep learning to satellite radar altimetry data to enhance information processing over Earth’s polar ice sheets. Joe’s primary interests lie in deep learning and machine learning, particularly in their application to environmental data.
