Noel Gourmelen is a Professor at the University of Edinburgh. Noels research focuses on the response of the Cryosphere to a changing climate, to establish what controls the mass loss of the ice sheets, ice caps and mountain glaciers and to quantify their contribution to sea level change. Noel began working with CPOM in 2008 as a PDRA. Noel’s research focuses on the use of radar altimetry to make these inferences.
Noel Gourmelen received his PhD from the University of Miami. His research focused on the use of Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry to Measuring low fault strain rate within the Pacific-North American plate boundary.
