Isabelle Wicks is a PhD student at Northumbria University researching surface melt on Antarctic ice sheets. Isabelle won the Beaumont Award in 2023 for their research into proglacial lake thermal regimes using remote satellite imagery in High Mountain Asia. They have experience in fieldwork, having previously performed geophysical ground investigations in Lanzarote as part of her undergraduate degree.
Isabelle completed their Integrated Masters in Geophysics at the University of Leeds and has experience outside of academia as a cybersecurity quality analyst.
