Our Funding
CPOM receives National Capability funding from the UK’s Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), to provide the UK with strategic capability in Earth observation and modelling of the cryosphere on a long-term basis. The data, services and models that CPOM provides underpin a broader programme of world-leading research in the UK and across the global polar science community.
By developing the skills and expertise to observe, monitor, and predict the long-term behaviour of Earth’s ice cover, CPOM delivers National Capability science that is internationally outstanding and makes a substantial contribution to UK science.
