Every NZPS student will develop a net zero case study (2-10 pages), identifying the actual and potential carbon saving of their research. This will often be done in collaboration with an industrial or external partner, although this is not mandatory, and may be developed further during the student’s 3-month placement.
The catalogue of net zero case studies NZPS students produce will form a blueprint for the NERC community and industry on reducing the carbon footprint of environmental science. Students will present their case studies to peers, academics and industry at NZPS events.
