From December 2025 to January 2026 we followed CPOM’s Ali Banwell conducting field research in Antarctica, with a team of scientists from the University of Colorado Boulder and the University of Maine. About the project
The National Science Foundation (NSF) funded this project which is studying the Ice Rumple Zone of the McMurdo Ice Shelf, Antarctica – a compressive region of the ice shelf characterized by undulating ice.
