Nitin Ravinder is a PhD student who joined CPOM in 2022 at University of Leeds. Nitin is based in Newcastle working at Northumbria University. His research study involves monitoring changes in Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets. He works with observations from satellite altimetry missions such as CryoSat-2, ICESat-2, with the aim of better tracking changes in surface elevation over ice sheets and glaciers by comparing and combining them. During the PhD, he has also engaged in fieldwork in Iceland.
Nitin completed his M.Sc. in satellite applications at the Technical University of Munich.
